Yo quiero que despierte
la luz encarcelada:
flor mineral, acude
a mi conducta:
“My influences come from many things, but I would have to say that natures amazing displays of color, diversity of form and living processes inform my vision when looking at a piece of material. I have a great interest in mythology and culture, this combined with a love for poetry and language allow me to see stories and words and root words (and made-up words) when I look at a piece of stone or fossil. The color and composition and shape of the material I work with often remind me of events in the past, a sense or mood of a time or place, or the magic of a biological process. This comes mainly from the stones which I like to showcase with my jewelry, There are stones for me which capture a sense of ancient earthiness combined with the beauty of things extinct, while in another stone, say a piece of Montana Moss Agate I may see the process of frog eggs becoming tadpoles in the shallows of the ponds of my childhood.
In some Orbicular or Ocean Jasper I see tide-pools at low tide, and in others I see the vast star filled galaxies. I try to capture these things and create pieces of work which will preserve these beautiful stones and their stories for posterity. I try to refer to these stories I see, or appease this sense as I design and work, to create something which speaks of the timeless as well as the new, in a word, progress.
As a futurist I look forward to the evolution of both the worlds culture and humanities understanding of its self, towards a brighter, more beautiful humanity and planet. I hope that my art can grace the future with a beauty which transcends time and speaks of our time and place here in the universe. I am grateful that my art can be a part of a great awakening and a beautiful story.”

Preciosos.
